Sick Bank: Remember, if you do not donate you can not pull days from the sick bank. (Forms to opt in or out will be available the first week of school each year.

Our legislators are talking about extending the school year (approx. 7 days) and increasing the school day by one hour per day as well as talking of merit based pay increases. There is also going to be a national review of NCLB.

GCTA/OEA/NEA is working hard for you on all these issues.

What we are asking is for all teachers, parents, staff and any one else to call or e-mail your local legislators and tell them to keep the promise of regional average pay before they talk about adding school days, extending school hours or approving merit salary proposals. We expect our legislators to live up to their promise!!!!!
