Sick bank forms are in your mailboxes. Please mark your choice and return to the GCTA building rep listed by Tuesday, August 28. Remember, if you do not donate you can not pull days from the sick bank!!!!!!

Our negotiations team will be meeting with Mr. Steen this week to try and finish negotiations. Wish them luck!!

Our legislators are talking about extending the school year (approx. 7 days) and increasing the school day by one hour per day as well as talking of merit based pay increases. There is also going to be a national review of NCLB.

GCTA/OEA/NEA is working hard for you on all these issues.

What we are asking is for all teachers, parents, staff and any one else to call or e-mail your local legislators and tell them to keep the promise of regional average pay before they talk about adding school days, extending school hours or approving merit salary proposals. We expect our legislators to live up to their promise!!!!!
