I moved to Grove in 1999. I was hired to be a part of a two teacher Family and Consumer Sciences program. I graduated from Northeastern State University in 1995 with a fashion merchandising degree and minored in business. After careful thought and consideration in 1998, I decided teaching was my calling, so I went back to NSU to receive my teaching degree. I wanted to teach life skill classes. I decided on FACS classes. The courses teach about relationship, how to get along with others, family values, careers, child development, sewing, cooking, and leadership.
I have been married for 12 years to my wonderful husband Mike. We have 3 sons, and 1 daughter.
I teach the following courses: Family and Consumer Sciences I, Family and Consumer Sciences II, Child Development, Housing and Interior Design, and Adult and Family Living.
