The Department of Mathematics and Computer Science at NSU has $300,000 in scholarship funds to award, but we are not getting enough applications from students. Please help us distribute this information to students that might be interested. Also, please share this with other math and computing teachers who might know some students. We will award up to 12 scholarships for Fall 2008. Each award will be up to $8,500 per year for four years.
Student applicants must:
- Begin college as freshmen at NSU in Fall 2008
- Major in Mathematics or Computer Science (choose one of these during first year at NSU).
- Have a minimum 2.75 high school GPA
- File Federal Application for Student Aid (FAFSA). Must demonstrate some financial need, but is not necessary to qualify for Pell grants.
- Complete an application form and mail in by April 20, 2008.
Scholarship recipients will be selected on the overall quality of their applications, not just GPA.
