I was born in Tulsa to Robert and Joyce Kennedy June 6, 1957. I have three sisters, Sherri Taylor, Shelli Hudgens, Jill Gawf, and two Brothers Robert and John Kennedy. I am also blessed with a wonderful step-mother, Sheila Kennedy. My family moved from Tulsa to Jay when I was in the 2nd grade in which my parents owned/operated Kennedy’s Food Market for 20+ years. I graduated from Jay High School in 1975. I went to the colleges NEO, OU and graduated from MSSU. I have been married to Steve Watts, who owns Steve’s Custom Cabinets, for 14 years. We have 3 daughters, Brittany Watts who lives in Grove and is 19, Chelsea Watts lives in Norman and is 21 and our oldest is Cassi Graham living in Tulsa who is 28. I have taught in the Grove Public Schools system for 18 years with 16 of those years in 1st grade. I currently teach the enrichment program and remedial math to grades 1st through 3rd. I enjoy spending time with my family (Christmas is quite interesting with all 38 of us there!) and friends, swimming, reading and of course our two Maltese dogs, Buddy and Lulu. I also love my job and teaching your children. I originally went to college to become an accountant… I’m so GLAD I changed my mind!!!
- Classroom Rules:
- My classroom rules are the same as you child’s regular classroom (raise you hand before speaking, no disturbing other, ECT.) But my main rule (rather a goal) is to always do your very best. I will not accept “can’t” for an answer. I encourage my students to encourage their peers for tasks that don’t come as easy. We are “family”in my class!
