I have lived in the Grove area for approximately five years. This is my third year as Counselor at the Grove Lower Elementary School.
Our counseling program consists of Guidance Classes, Character Counts program, Ridgy Pride Program, Ridgy Kids assemblies and individual and group counseling. Individual and group counseling is on an as needed basis in order to enhance academic success. During guidance classes, we discuss topics such as Hygiene, Stranger danger, good touch- bad touch, and character education. Character education focuses on six character building traits: respect, responsibility, caring, trustworthiness, fairness, and citizenship. Events are coordinated to co-inside with character traits in order to emphasize the importance of character.
