Born in Ecuador, South America Mrs. Wilhelm moved to the states when she was 4 years old. Her mother, Connie, was a missionary from Rockford I11. Connie served in Ecuador where she met and married Luis Vallejo. Mrs. Wilhelm is the oldest of their 4 daughters and they grew up in the Chicago land area.
Mrs. Wilhelm began her undergraduate degree at the University of Arkansas where she met and married Joe Wilhelm. They moved to Grove in 1981 where Joe began his career as band director for Grove Public Schools. Mrs. Wilhelm received her Bachelor of Education degree from Northeastern State University in Oklahoma.
Mrs. Wilhelm began her teaching career at Grove Public Schools in 1984. She taught kindergarten 5 years, first grade 12 years, and has taught second grade for the past 6 years. Mrs. Wilhelm is a member of the Grove Classroom Association, Oklahoma Education Association, and the National Education Association.
Watching her sons play sports and listening to their concerts are just a few of Mrs. Wilhelm’s hobbies. She likes to travel and is a sponsor to Oklahoma Bands. She and her family are members of the Oklahoma Centennial Band. Mrs. Wilhelm and her husband Joe, have 3 sons, Joseph, Jordan, and Joshua.

Each night your child will bring home a homework folder. One side is for homework, and the other for finished and graded work. Please go through the folder together, complete homework, and return the next morning.
The week kicks off with a new set of spelling words and sentences. On Monday each student will receive a list of words and Tuesday a list of sentences to study for the week. The spelling word test is on Thursday and the sentence test is on Friday. My students have the option of take the word test over on Friday for a better grade.
Discipline:
The first infraction the student misses 5 min. of 2 nd recess.
The second infraction the student misses 20 min. of 2 nd recess.
The third infraction the student misses the whole recess.
These infraction include: talking while the teacher is talking,
Not sitting in their seat correctly,
Not finishing their work.
