Thank you for visiting the Grove Lower Elementary Webpage!

The Lower Elementary has a new assistant principal this year!  Mrs. Donna Clark comes to Grove from the great state of Texas and brings with her many years of classroom teaching and curriculum development experience.  She also brings 3 years of experience as an assistant principal.  I am excited to work with and learn new things from Mrs. Clark throughout the year.

The student population at the Lower Elementary is currently 603.  We have 39 highly qualified, certified faculty members and 24 experienced, caring support personnel.

The faculty and staff at Grove Lower Elementary collaborate to set high goals and expectations for our students.  They motivate and inspire each child to reach those goals and expectations.  They create a learning environment where students become critical thinkers, effective communicators, problem solvers, and independent learners while maintaining respect for themselves and others.

The parental and community support that our site receives is outstanding.  It is a major factor contributing to our academic success.  We are very proud that our site received an “A” on the State Report Card last year. We look for the State Department of Education to release the new grades soon. One half of our grade comes from attendance (PK-3), and the other half is calculated using the 3rd grade Reading and Math scores on the OCCT. We cannot maintain that grade without parental involvement and community support!  If you have any extra time and would like to volunteer, please call, come by the office, or visit with your child’s teacher to arrange a time that best fits your schedule.

I look forward to another amazing year at the Grove Lower Elementary!
