GROVE PUBLIC SCHOOLS LAUNCHES: STRATEGIC PLANNING PROCESS
Grove, Oklahoma, Thursday - October 29, 2026
Grove Public Schools is launching a strategic planning initiative that will bring together students, educators, families, and community members to help shape the future of our district.
Guided by our commitment to “We Are Grove, The District of Champions!” This process will focus on building upon our strengths, identifying opportunities for growth, and ensuring every student has access to the resources and opportunities needed to succeed.
The district is working with the Oklahoma State School Boards Association (OSSBA) and the K20 Center for Education Community Renewal at the University of Oklahoma to facilitate the Continuous Strategic Improvement (CSI) planning process, which has been used by school districts throughout Oklahoma.
Through this process, Grove Public Schools will develop a five-year action plan designed to strengthen educational opportunities, improve student outcomes, and support the continued success of our schools. Our vision is to provide Championship Level Experiences, Environments, and Expectations for every student, every day.
Superintendent Doug Brown emphasized the importance of planning for the district’s future.

This strategic planning process will help us build on the strong foundation already in place while identifying the priorities and resources needed to move our district forward. Together, we can create a vision that reflects the expectations of our students, staff, and community.”
As part of the process, the district will conduct a school survey in November to gather feedback and identify strengths, challenges, and opportunities for improvement. The district will also begin an in-depth examination of student achievement data. During the spring semester, survey results and student achievement data will be reviewed to help guide discussions, establish priorities, and shape the district’s five-year action plan.
Community involvement will be an essential part of this effort. Families, staff, students, and community members are encouraged to share their perspectives, ideas, and hopes for the future of Grove Public Schools.
