A big thank you to Grove Education Foundation for Excellence and Grove Rotary Club from the Grove Alternative Education and WINGS Academies. GEFFE awarded the Academies a grant which funded a program to build custom fishing rods. Grove Rotary provided a grant for the purchase of jig-tying vises, tools, and supplies. These two projects have come to the point at which small groups of students have been able to crappie fish with fishing rods and jigs they have made with their own hands. We would also like to give recognition and a Thank You to two local businesses. Grand Lake Sports Center provided a wealth of knowledge and extra supplies for jig tying. Honey Creek Landing Marina provided a safe, comfortable place for supervised students to fish.

Junior Parents/Guardians Yesterday the information below on the upcoming testing went home with the Juniors. There is a lot of good information for both you and the students. The ACT will be on April 9th, and the other two days of testing will be April 16th and 17th. These tests are a graduation requirement. If you have any questions please feel free to contact Mrs. Clark at jclark@ridgerunners.net. ACT Scores are used in many ways in Oklahoma: college entrance, awarding scholarships, gauging student progress, assessing schoolwide curriculum and instruction, and many other ways! We are deeply appreciative of the generous funding that was made possible through the sale of tribal car tags. The check for $137,535.80 that Grove Public Schools recently received will make a significant difference in the lives of our students and staff. This funding is invaluable in enhancing the educational opportunities we can provide and supporting our continued efforts to build a bright future for our community. In total, the Cherokee Nation awarded $7.6 million to the 107 school districts within the Cherokee Nation. It is clear that the Cherokee Nation is dedicated to investing in the future of all students. The combined total of $538,000 awarded to Delaware County schools is an excellent example of how these funds are being distributed equitably and purposefully to support educational excellence. Funding totals are based on the 34,174 Cherokee nation students in the 107 school districts Thank you again for your unwavering dedication to the success of our students and our schools. Your leadership and generosity are a true reflection of the Cherokee Nation’s commitment to empowering the next generation. We are proud to partner with you in this important work. What an amazing job by GHS STUCO, Leadership, and the COW Week Committee!!! Another amazing year for COW Week!!! They had charitable donations totaling $129,061! Making such a strong statement about what is possible when students are motivated to help Change Our World!!! Too many people helped to properly list them all, but a special shoutout to the sponsors: Mrs. Guthridge and Mrs. Kerr!!! Their tireless work is a testament to the capacity educators have for sacrifice and giving!!!

GMS TSA has 23 students who qualified for state, and they are excited to raise money for their trip; high school TSA will also be assisting with this amazing fundraising effort.
