Andre Dry and London Gentry were the 7th-hour physical science Solar Car champions today! Each car converted radiant energy from the sun into electrical energy and then into mechanical energy. London and Andre were able to angle their solar panel to most efficiently harness the sun’s energy- for the win!

9th-grade Physical Science students learned about EV buses on Friday, 1.26.24, from Mr. Hamilton and Ms. Connie. They compared features of traditional diesel-powered buses to EV buses and students learned about the cost savings of charging vs buying diesel fuel. They got to see an EV battery and learned that the lithium will be recycled/reused. No noise, no exhaust fumes, no oil changes, the heater works great - and a great ride! Our community is fortunate to have this fleet of buses to make the best use of our energy resources.
