6th grade GATE students took their learning to the next level by making rock candy!
Students mixed and heated water and sugar for a hands on learning experience using our Geffe funded Charlie Cart. They learned about how temperature and saturation affect crystallization. Everyone collaborated to measure, mix, and monitor their candy creations!
We want to give a huge shoutout to our community for supporting our educational endeavors! We can't wait to see the final results of our rock candy and continue using the Charlie Cart for future culinary adventures!

They visited various locations to unplug and completed fun tasks at each stop.
A huge shoutout to Kim Hacker and Jenny Brodrick for organizing such a fantastic event! The smiles were contagious, and it was heartwarming to see everyone having so much fun.

Last week, our 4th grade GATE students had an amazing adventure at Bluff Dwellers Cave this week.
The kids explored the fascinating underground world, learning about cave formations, fossils, and even some unique cave life!
A big thank you to Bluff Dwellers Cave for hosting us and providing such an educational experience. We can't wait for our next adventure!

Our 6th graders recently took part in the GUE Amazing Race, finding places around our community where they could UNPLUG and be active! They had so much fun learning about fun spots in the Grove area by solving puzzles and racing other classes. Congratulations to Mrs. Teel's homeroom who won the race!
