FREE Tutoring for Grades 7-9
The Oklahoma State Department of Education (OSDE) is continuing the statewide virtual math tutoring initiative. The Oklahoma Math Tutoring Corps will provide students in the grades 7, 8, and 9 with real-time, virtual tutoring support from live tutors beginning on October 6, 2024. Participating students will meet virtually with a tutor for 50 minutes three times a week over a period of ten weeks. All tutoring will occur outside of school hours. The goal of the Math Tutoring Corps is to give students opportunities for individualized, targeted learning of math processes and practice needed for success in their current and future math coursework.

It's been Wild Robot mania in 5th grade science as students finished the book as a group novel study. This amazing book is full of life cycles, adaptations and fun stories of survival, friendships, families and problem solving. We are excited to take all 5th graders to see the movie next week! Thanks to Mrs. Yarborough's science students for sharing their amazing artwork about the story. We ❤️ The Wild Robot!! 🤖

Theme: Game for the Records
Parade start time change this year:
Starting time will be 1:30
No campaign material will be allowed.
A licensed driver must drive all vehicles, and NO STUDENTS will be allowed to drive any vehicle in the parade.
Throwing hard items during the parade is strictly prohibited. Prohibited items include, but are not limited to, candy, beads, and flyers. Entrants may have members of their organizations walk beside their float and hand out giveaway items.
Entries must call or email the high school to enter their float into the parade.

GUE had an amazing day today with author Jefferson Knapp! He inspired our 4th, 5th, and 6th graders by sharing the story behind his books, his writing process, and most importantly, the message to never give up on your dreams. Many of our students were excited to purchase his books, which Jefferson graciously signed for them. What a memorable experience for everyone! A huge shout out to our amazing librarian Miranda Ward for finding amazing ways to engage our kids in the experience of reading AND writing!!
