Ms. Hornback’s 4th grade students are getting creative as they prepare for testing! Last week, they took their learning outside and used chalk to write the “12 Mighty Words” and their meanings. These powerful words—like analyze (break apart), infer (read between the lines), and summarize (give the short version)—help students tackle tricky test questions with confidence. Way to make test prep fun!

A big thank you to Geffe for making it possible to bring archery to our upper elementary students, and to Coach Hacker for leading the way! Thanks to their support and leadership, our kids are learning archery in a super safe and structured environment—every step is slow, intentional, and guided by clear whistle signals. Safety always comes first, and the result is a program that’s not only incredibly safe, but also tons of fun! Proud to see our students learning new skills and having a blast. #ThankyouGeffe

Did you know that Oklahoma's Promise will pay tuition at public colleges and universities or a portion of the tuition at some private colleges and qualified trade schools?? During their English classes, Grove High School Juniors heard a presentation on Oklahoma's Promise, a tuition assistance program. They learned the differences between types of colleges and trade schools, as well as the costs associated with future education (tuition vs. fees vs. room & board). Did you know that students can apply during their 8th, 9th, 10th, or 11th grade year for Oklahoma's Promise? The deadline to apply for this year's Juniors is June 30, 2025. Parents, help your child apply NOW while you have your tax information handy! For more information and to apply for Oklahoma's Promise, go to https://okpromise.org/ . If you have questions, contact your school counselor at Grove High School: Leslie Sexson (lsexson@ridgerunners.net), Jenniffer Clark (jclark@ridgerunners.net), or at Grove Middle School: Tonya Goldner (tgoldner@ridgerunners.net).
