Today's shoutout is to GEFFE for empowering our 6th-grade students with hands-on drone learning experiences! In Mrs. Glasgow's STEM and GATE classes, these young innovators are diving into real-world problem-solving, using drones to solve challenges while exploring STEM concepts like coding, physics, and engineering.
Thank you, GEFFE and Mrs. Glasgow, for bringing this cutting-edge opportunity to our classrooms and inspiring the next generation of problem solvers!

CONGRATULATIONS to Upper Elementary student, Daphne Decker, who won FIRST PLACE in the 5th grade art division of the OBA Law Day Contest! One thing we are so proud of is that Daphne entered independently, not part of an assignment in a class. We are proud of her initiative to try new things all on her own. We are proud of you Daphne!

Celebrating National Library Clerk Day at the Lower. Ms. Jess is the best!!

Parents of 9th and 10th Graders: Today, Wednesday, April 9th, both Freshman and Sophomore students are VIRTUAL. They are not to come to the building. This is to accommodate the fact that Juniors are taking the state-mandated ACT, and Seniors are completing state-mandated training and education sessions.
9th and 10th graders are VIRTUAL today, April 9th.
Thank you!

The Friends of Grand Lake Audubon Society recently donated 30 Young Birder bags to GUE to start our own Young Birders Club. We have several teachers who are going to use the bags as an activity in their classroom. We are excited to get our kids outside to enjoy and learn more about the natural world around them. The bags were made possible by a grant from Rotary. Thank you Rotary! By supporting other organizations in town, you are also supporting our students!

Last week, the Upper Elementary had a fantastic time celebrating our students who met their Accelerated Reader goals for the 3rd nine weeks! They enjoyed ice cream sandwiches and some well-deserved free time outside in the beautiful weather.
A huge thank you to Mrs. Ward and Mrs. Blythe for their hard work in the library and for making sure our students are rewarded for their efforts. Way to go, readers! Keep up the great work!

We love our library queens 👸 at the Upper Elementary! Miranda Ward and Jennifer Blythe you are amazing at building readers! Thank you for your hardwork and passion! 📚 📖 ❤️

GHS Seniors and Parents: See the attached document for upcoming events in April and May.

We had an amazing time at GUE’s annual school-wide Transformation Day! This year, we lit up the halls with a Glow Day theme, complete with glow-in-the-dark decorations, an autograph wall, and classrooms filled with bright lessons. It is one way we live our core value of "make learning and teaching fun". We have a great time learning at GUE!

Thank you Alaina Hilliard for the donations to the Sunshine Cart! Perfect day for to spread some cheer at the Lower.
