Way to go GMS STEM!!! Team 14134 N.E.W.T (New Engineers Working Together) is our middle school FIRST Tech Challenge Robotics team. Today they went to their first meet. There were some snags, but overall it was a great day and they learned so much! It was great to see them work together to overcome, brainstorm, and push through the challenges of the day! They are already planning and ready to make some adjustments to their robot for their December meet!

Congrats to Kate Thomas for winning the district FCCLA contest in her Children's Literature book.


The Alternative Education Academy attended a field trip to Crystal Bridges Museum of American Arts in Bentonville, AR, as part of their Art class. Museum art educators led several small groups through the tour titled "The Story of U.S." This tour takes students through American history via artworks that help to tell the complex and fascinating story of the mosaic that is life in the United States.

GHS Parents of Juniors and Seniors: Tomorrow, Wednesday, 11.13.24, we will be carrying out PreACT testing for Freshmen and Sophomores. Freshmen and Sophomores will be IN PERSON at GHS tomorrow at the usual time. Freshman and Sophomores will also release at the usual time: 3:20 PM.
Juniors and Seniors will be VIRTUAL; they will not come to school tomorrow, 11.13.24. Juniors and Seniors are to check their Google Classroom classes for virtual assignments. Attendance will be taken based on the completion of these assignments. The virtual assignment must be completed in order for students to not be marked absent.


GUE 4th graders and 6th grade honor choir students celebrated our Veterans last night in their concert at the PAC. In addition to the musical performances, guests and students also heard from a panel of GPS teachers who are also veterans. The panel included Tracy Maddux, and Nate and Lorraine Beall. We thank you for your service to our country and GPS students!! ❤️💙🇺🇸
