GLE's Ridgy's Readers Theater wrapped up with a spectacular performance for families. Thank you to Grove's Playmakers and the teachers who made this happen.

Jeff Haynes was announced as the Grove Public Schools teacher of the year at our end of the year celebration in May. Mr. Haynes is the speech and drama teacher at Grove High School and the creative mastermind behind GHS performances including Beauty and the Beast, Cinderella and the recent state championship production of The Diary of Anne Frank. Bring birth certificates, shot records, custody papers, proof of residency and CDIB cards with you to get all students enrolled in one place! We are excited to have you as a part of Ridgerunner Nation!! ♥️🖤

Before we get started on the new school year, we need to share our end of the year celebrations for the 24-25 school year. GHS Students visit the Litochoro village and follow the trail to the natural springs of Mount Olympus, the mountain of the ancient Greek gods. They then travel north to Pella and take a guided tour of the birthplace of Alexander the Great, visiting Vergina and the famous museum of the Royal Tombs. #notallclassroomshavefourwalls

GHS Ridgerunner students hike up the Akropolys of Athena to get a closer view of the Parthenon and other Greek structures from centuries long ago. #notallclassroomshavefourwalls

GHS Band is still looking for Color Guard Members. Rehearsals WEDNESDAY, July 9th, 1-3 p.m. @ the HS Bandroom.

🇬🇷 GHS International Club is on its way to Greece! ✈️ Their first stop before their group dinner with three other schools across the USA is a refreshing swim or a peaceful walk along the shore near Glyfada, a vibrant area full of cafes, restaurants, and shops. Students receiving high school credit for this tour have come up with some amazing essential questions to explore while on tour. #notallclassroomshavefourwalls

With all the rain we have experienced this summer, now is a great time to share one of the hands on projects Mrs. Woods's geography classes completed this spring. Geography students at GMS explored natural disasters, including tornadoes, tsunamis, hurricanes, typhoons, and earthquakes. Given popsicle sticks and various adhesives like Elmer's glue, hot glue, and tape, students designed and constructed structures to withstand simulated natural disasters, demonstrating exceptional critical thinking skills and teamwork. Great job, 7th graders and Mrs. Woods!!

Dear Students, Parents, Teachers, and Members of the Grove Community,
As we approach the 4th of July, we come together to honor the courage, vision, and sacrifices of those who fought to secure the freedoms we cherish today. This special occasion is not only a time to reflect on our nation's rich history, but also to celebrate the values of unity, courage, and resilience that continue to shape our future.
At Grove Public Schools, we believe that education plays a vital role in strengthening the principles of liberty, freedom, and justice. This Independence Day, we encourage our students to appreciate the rights and responsibilities that come with freedom and to express their patriotism through learning, service, and respect for others.
Let us honor our heritage and strive together to build a more united and vibrant future for all.
Wishing you and your families a safe and joyful Independence Day!
Warm regards,
Pat Dodson
Superintendent
Grove Public Schools

Congratulations to our middle school students who qualified as semi-finalists! We have a group of students representing GPS at the National TSA Conference in Nashville this week. We are excited for their accomplishments and thankful for this experience for our students!

Grove students arrived at the National TSA Conference in Nashville!!! GMS Advisor Ms. Andrea Benge and Teacher-Chaperone Ms. Christensen anticipate an amazing trip filled with early mornings, busy days, informative meetings, intense competitions, wonderful food, and lots of fun! Our kids are ready to compete; wish them luck! As always, thank you to the Grove community and businesses for your continued support of our program!

GMS would like to give a shout out to Donovan Hunter of Von Jager K9 training services and SRO Fescine for providing informative sessions for our students in the fall and spring semesters. Donovan Hunter, Zach Mitchell, and Matt Vogle brought in their dogs Shunke, Zita, Gator to educate students on the use of the K-9s for searching for drugs, apprehending suspects, and search and rescue situations.
Thank you, Mr. Hunter and company, for giving your time to educate GMS students!

Not only was GPS Federal Programs director, Cindy Weaver, recently recognized as the Region 6 Central Office Administrator of the Year, but she was also recognized as a Difference Maker for the Federal Programs Consortiums by the Cooperative Council of Oklahoma School Administrators. Mrs. Weaver is a behind the scenes administrator who makes so many programs and initiatives run at GPS! We are proud that she is receiving state wide recognition for her contributions to not only Ridgerunner Nation, but education around the state of Oklahoma! Congratulations Mrs. Weaver!!

We have more honor roll stars to celebrate!
We recently shared our Honor Roll list, but realized we accidentally left out a few outstanding Upper Elementary students. We want to make sure everyone gets the recognition they deserve!
Please join us in congratulating these amazing students for earning a spot on the Principal’s Honor Roll and Superintendent’s Honor Roll.
Way to go, boys!
