RiverHawks Scholar Program at NSU in beautiful Tahlequah, Oklahoma is hosting our annual Open House on Friday, October 25th from 9:30 - 2:00 for prospective students. We are an IPSE (inclusive post secondary education) program for students with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities. We were the first program in Oklahoma and started in 2018. We are also the most affordable IPSE program in our state. We serve students with mild to moderate disabilities that want to attend college, be gainfully employed & independent. Please help us spread the word with prospective students and families. Registration is free, but space is limited to the first 100 people to sign up so register soon. This is a great way to learn more about our program, our campus and community. We will have a student panel, parent panel and several state agencies present. Registrants will have the opportunity to eat on campus at one of our many fine dining options and we will conclude the open house with campus tours. Registration is at the top of our RiverHawks Scholar Program webpage. For questions you can reach us at riverhawksscholar@nsuok.edu Go RiverHawks!

5th graders from Mrs. Nelson's class have been learning the impact of plants on our environment. Their contribution to clean air and how we as humans need a healthy vegetation around us to thrive is a key component of their lesson. Thanks to a grant from GEFFE they are growing their own herbs using a hydroponic lab. Students planted basil, dill, thyme and other herbs. Once they are grown they will cook with the herbs using the Charlie Cart mobile kitchen, also provided through GEFFE. We are blessed every day by GEFFE donors!

Your student is invited — please RSVP Dear families, We’re going to Portugal and Spain in Summer 2026, and you’re invited! We’re excited to tell you more about the trip we’re planning with EF Tours, our educational travel partner. Please be sure to register for this info session to be considered for this opportunity: https://rsvp.eftours.com/j455g2g When students travel, they expand their knowledge of the world around them, discover more about themselves, and grow more confident. These skills are critical for creating the global citizens of tomorrow, and we would love to have your student join us on this adventure. In this info session, we’ll talk about: How this opportunity will benefit your student, what we’ll see and do on our trip, everything that’s included in this experience, how your child can earn academic credit, how we’re keeping this safe and affordable, how to enroll on this trip (before it fills up!) during EF’s risk-free enrollment period There are limited spots on this trip, so we would love to have you attend this meeting to learn more about this exciting opportunity! GMS spent the morning at the PAC enjoying an amazing production, The Poe Show, sponsored by The Arkansas Arts Council, Wingate Foundation, and Simmons Food Production. The production was designed as 'an original way to make Poe accessible and exciting (and even funny) to a variety of audiences and ages.' Our students were engaged throughout the entire performance! Thank you to Mr. Gilmore for arranging this opportunity and to the transportation department for busing our entire site to the PAC. #ridgerunnernation

Grove Public Schools have been made aware of several rumors initiated on social media sites involving threats against area schools. The Grove Police Department is investigating the situation and all site administrators are aware of the situation. Even though it is believed to be a hoax with no credible threat involving Grove Public Schools, we are all, nevertheless, on heightened awareness of our surroundings. The safety of our students and staff will always be the top priority for our school district.
