Did you know that Oklahoma's Promise will pay tuition at public colleges and universities or a portion of the tuition at some private colleges and qualified trade schools?? During their English classes, Grove High School Juniors heard a presentation on Oklahoma's Promise, a tuition assistance program. They learned the differences between types of colleges and trade schools, as well as the costs associated with future education (tuition vs. fees vs. room & board). Did you know that students can apply during their 8th, 9th, 10th, or 11th grade year for Oklahoma's Promise? The deadline to apply for this year's Juniors is June 30, 2025. Parents, help your child apply NOW while you have your tax information handy! For more information and to apply for Oklahoma's Promise, go to https://okpromise.org/ . If you have questions, contact your school counselor at Grove High School: Leslie Sexson (lsexson@ridgerunners.net), Jenniffer Clark (jclark@ridgerunners.net), or at Grove Middle School: Tonya Goldner (tgoldner@ridgerunners.net).

Today's shoutout is to GEFFE for empowering our 6th-grade students with hands-on drone learning experiences! In Mrs. Glasgow's STEM and GATE classes, these young innovators are diving into real-world problem-solving, using drones to solve challenges while exploring STEM concepts like coding, physics, and engineering. Thank you, GEFFE and Mrs. Glasgow, for bringing this cutting-edge opportunity to our classrooms and inspiring the next generation of problem solvers!

CONGRATULATIONS to Upper Elementary student, Daphne Decker, who won FIRST PLACE in the 5th grade art division of the OBA Law Day Contest! One thing we are so proud of is that Daphne entered independently, not part of an assignment in a class. We are proud of her initiative to try new things all on her own. We are proud of you Daphne!

The Friends of Grand Lake Audubon Society recently donated 30 Young Birder bags to GUE to start our own Young Birders Club. We have several teachers who are going to use the bags as an activity in their classroom. We are excited to get our kids outside to enjoy and learn more about the natural world around them. The bags were made possible by a grant from Rotary. Thank you Rotary! By supporting other organizations in town, you are also supporting our students!
