On January 19th Sheila Stogsdill came to visit Mrs. Thomas's Journalism classes at GMS. Ms. Stogsdill is a professional Journalist, and she talked to the students about her career; she is also a GPS school board member. She presented a video on a cold case about the missing Welch girls. This was a case in which she did extensive investigative journalism. She also talked to the students about the inverted pyramid style of writing.

Andre Dry and London Gentry were the 7th-hour physical science Solar Car champions today! Each car converted radiant energy from the sun into electrical energy and then into mechanical energy. London and Andre were able to angle their solar panel to most efficiently harness the sun’s energy- for the win!

Learning doesn't have to be in a classroom! We have been enjoying this beautiful weather at GUE! We are thankful for our outdoor classroom spaces for students to be able to learn in the fresh air!
