Dear Students, Parents, Teachers, and Members of the Grove Community, As we approach the 4th of July, we come together to honor the courage, vision, and sacrifices of those who fought to secure the freedoms we cherish today. This special occasion is not only a time to reflect on our nation's rich history, but also to celebrate the values of unity, courage, and resilience that continue to shape our future. At Grove Public Schools, we believe that education plays a vital role in strengthening the principles of liberty, freedom, and justice. This Independence Day, we encourage our students to appreciate the rights and responsibilities that come with freedom and to express their patriotism through learning, service, and respect for others. Let us honor our heritage and strive together to build a more united and vibrant future for all. Wishing you and your families a safe and joyful Independence Day! Warm regards, Pat Dodson Superintendent Grove Public Schools

Not only was GPS Federal Programs director, Cindy Weaver, recently recognized as the Region 6 Central Office Administrator of the Year, but she was also recognized as a Difference Maker for the Federal Programs Consortiums by the Cooperative Council of Oklahoma School Administrators. Mrs. Weaver is a behind the scenes administrator who makes so many programs and initiatives run at GPS! We are proud that she is receiving state wide recognition for her contributions to not only Ridgerunner Nation, but education around the state of Oklahoma! Congratulations Mrs. Weaver!!

We have more honor roll stars to celebrate! We recently shared our Honor Roll list, but realized we accidentally left out a few outstanding Upper Elementary students. We want to make sure everyone gets the recognition they deserve! Please join us in congratulating these amazing students for earning a spot on the Principal’s Honor Roll and Superintendent’s Honor Roll. Way to go, boys!

After reading the play version of The Diary of Anne Frank, 7th grade ELA students created original board games as a creative way to honor the Frank family’s story. Inspired by the way the Franks spent their free time in hiding, often playing games, students were able to better understand and connect with the experiences of the characters in the story.

GHS Seniors and Parents: Here is the link to the live stream for graduation tonight. https://vcloud.hudl.com/broadcast/embed/2402115 The graduation ceremony for the Class of 2025 is scheduled to begin at 7 pm on Friday, May 23rd, at Ridgerunner Stadium. As we all know, the weather can be unpredictable during this time of year. If there is concerning weather for 7 pm that night, we are planning to handle it just like we would an outdoor sporting event. If we need to postpone for safety, we will do so according to the rules set forth by the OSSAA. Graduation will continue through light rain if that is all there is. The ceremony will proceed as soon as it is safe to do so in accordance with the rules set forth for outdoor events. Thank you for your patience and understanding!

What an incredible way to wrap up the year at the Upper Elementary House Assembly! Today, we celebrated our outgoing house leaders and welcomed the new house leaders, who were carefully chosen through an interview process. A huge shoutout to all houses for a fiercely competitive year. The race for the Geffe House Cup was closer than ever, but in the end, Altruismo emerged as our Geffe House Cup Champion, earning the most house points for 2024-2025! We are so proud of everyone’s hard work, teamwork, and spirit. #Leadership #GeffeHouseCup #AltruismoChampions
