The middle school had a fun-filled Friday starting with an academic pep assembly celebrating students who are shining bright in and out of the classroom! Students were recognized for Citizenship, Leadership, Rising Star, and Accelerated Reader awards, along with the RIDGY Awards honoring Respect, Integrity, Determination, Growth, and You Make a Difference. We also celebrated all students with perfect attendance for the first quarter, because showing up matters! The energy was high as our band and cheerleaders led the crowd in the fight song, and Student Council brought the laughs with a game of Human Hungry Hippo! After lunch, students who met our incentive criteria (great attendance, positive behavior, and passing grades) got to enjoy our first-ever Incentive Day! They spent the afternoon playing kickball, volleyball, capture the flag, and four square, while our talented artists filled the sidewalks with colorful chalk creations. And to top it all off—a huge thank-you to The Grove Sun for donating enough ice cream for all 260 students who qualified! It was a day full of school spirit, teamwork, and celebration, which is the perfect way to end the quarter strong!
