Mrs. Laverty’s English classes switch into “Starbucks Mode” during writing units, transforming the classroom into a cozy coffee shop vibe where students focus on meeting their rough draft and final essay deadlines. After the final essays are typed and turned in, the class celebrates the hard work with cake pops and hot chocolate These eight students met every single deadline, earning their spot in the class gift card drawing. A well-deserved reward for their dedication and commitment to the writing process!

⚾GMS Baseball action from Saturday, March 7! Our Ridgerunners were out on the field giving it their all, and the yearbook staff was there to capture the moments. Some of these photos will be featured in this year’s yearbook—don’t miss out!

Mrs. Laverty’s Reading classes enjoyed a Food Truck Celebration to honor all the hard work students put into their food truck–themed Literacy Fair projects!

A huge thank you to the family of Amara Martinez for helping bring this project to life by bringing their food truck, Lil' Bit of This and That, to school. Students enjoyed delicious walking tacos and snow cones while celebrating their creativity, effort, and learning.

We are so proud of all the amazing work our readers accomplished!

🚀 In February, Grove Middle School TSA students traveled to Edmond Santa Fe for a mini-conference! For many, this was their first conference—and they didn’t disappoint, bringing home medals and several top 10 finishes!

This year, we also competed in drones for the first time, earning an incredible 1st and 2nd place! A huge thank you to the Grove Education Foundation for Excellence for providing the drones that made this possible. 🏆✨

GPS has a phenomenal maintenance department. Today we celebrate them and National Maintenance Appreciation Day. Thank you for all you do!

Remember our Second Quarter Incentive Block Party at GMS? 🎉 This celebration was for students who met the academic, behavioral, and attendance goals during the quarter. Way to go, students! 👏

One of the activities offered during the block party was Mrs. Deason’s “Quilting Session.” Students who chose her room designed their own quilt blocks, showing off their creativity and teamwork.

Mrs. Deason then sewed the blocks together and had the quilt professionally finished. The final product turned out beautiful!

All students who participated in the quilting sessions were entered into a drawing, and Sophia Wilson was the lucky winner of the quilt!

Another Remarkable Ridgy at GLE! Mr. Moustache, aka Mr. Jordan, has the wonderful ability of relating to students with care and humor. We appreciate his flexibility and that he is always ready to lend a helping hand.

GLE traveled back to the 80's today for the opening of the Book Fair. It was a gnarly day!

GMS Parents of 8th graders: Your student was given a pre-enrollment packet by the GHS Counselors yesterday. Please go over this packet with your student to prepare for the enrollment meeting on Monday, March 9th, at 6 PM in the Performing Arts Center. Please attend!! This meeting is integral to getting your student enrolled in the right classes!

Lower Elementary Book Fair!

GLE had special visitors today. The GHS Seussical cast dropped by to read to our students. They were a hit! Thank you!

Congratulations to our Grove Choir students who went to the OSSAA District Solo/Ensemble Contest today! We received 18 Superior ratings and 6 Excellent ratings! That is a total of 46 medals!!! We are State-Bound! So proud of these students!
