The staff at GUE was truly blessed for Teacher Appreciation Week. Thanks to our amazing parents for a week full of treats! A special shout out to Vanessa Byers who led the entire thing and special treats from Lake Center Baptist Church! Bar None, we have the best staff!! Candy Bar, Taco Bar, Breakfast Bar, Flair Bar, Ice Cream Bar, Tea Bar and Popcorn Bar. Whew! What a week! Thank you for your thoughtfulness!










Top house point earners at the Upper Elementary earned a movie and snacks on the football field last week. It was a fun way to enjoy the warmer weather and celebrate great character!


The May 14th School Board Meeting will be moved to the Grove Middle School Library due to flooding at the administration building. The meeting will still be held at 7pm.

Students at the Upper Elementary went through a water safety course thanks to the organization of Adrian Arnold from Grand Lake YMCA. A shout out to all of the community groups who pitched in to help teach our kids how to stay safe this summer; Grove Fire Department, Grand Lake YMCA and GRDA. We love partnering with our community groups at GUE!

📣REMINDER‼️ 2024/2025 Ridgy Roll Call at the Early Childhood Center is Thursday, May 9th. Parents of Pre-K students or Kindergarten students who are new to the district are invited to come from 4-6pm to enroll your child! Enrollment packets are also available online- https://www.ridgerunners.net/page/student-enrollment Parents can drop off their completed packet and all required documents at the ECC from 9am-2pm during the school week.

Today is National School Nurse's Day. A HUGE shout out to the Lower's school nurse, Ashley Neighbors. Nurse by Ashley not only takes care of our students but our staff as well. She is simply amazing! #glebettertogether

Thank you to the Boom at The Regatta who donated their proceeds for a recent Trivia Night to GPS to be applied to unpaid student lunch balances. We appreciate your thoughtfulness in serving our community in this way! The Boom hosts Trivia Night every Thursday, raising money for different community organizations.

Grove Upper Elementary is excited to welcome our incoming 4th graders to tour and meet current teachers and staff this Wednesday! This is a great way to ease the transition to a new building and learn about our expectations and traditions.
