4th grade teachers Ms. Hornback, Mrs. Pitts, and Mrs. Burroughs hit a homerun last week with their baseball themed classrooms. Reading students worked on research and vocabulary stations, math students practiced multi-digit multiplication, and geography students learned map skills. #groveupper #learningisfun

The ECC had an eventful week! We are so grateful for all who participated in the trunk or treat 🍬🎃🕸️Thank you parents, community partners, and businesses!!! The kids had a blast. It's a close call, but the ECC might have more OU fans than OSU. We enjoyed the friendly competition! ❤️🤍🧡🖤 #eccchamps #bedlam #BOOMER #gopokes

It was a Fabulously Fun Friday at GUE when we played a school wide edition of Name That Tune! The first few seconds of a song was played over the intercom and teachers had to be the chosen caller with the name and artist to win a prize! Prizes included Back Porch Ice Cream gift cards, House Points and even some cash!! Congrats to the winning teachers! Even the ones who needed help from their students when the game took a Bedlam turn of events! It's a great day at GUE!! #ridgerunnernation

The Lower Elementary, with the help of Louis Templin and Second Chance Rescue, has started Claire's Project. Classrooms will be going to read to the cats and dogs at the rescue center. Children are able to practice their reading skills with a special animal. Mrs. Goin's class was our first class to start this project today. It is a hit!! #glebettertogether #ridgyreaders #ridgerunnernation

The Lower Elementary participated in 12 Days of Trick or Read. Mrs. Hunsperger created a countdown to Halloween. Each day teachers read a new picture book to their class. A drawing was held for the classrooms that participated. Congratulations to Mrs. Goin's third grade class! The class won activity time with Mrs. Hunsperger. October 31, 2023 Ridgerunner Nation: Grove Middle School received a call at approximately 10:30 AM that a pipe bomb had been placed somewhere in the Grove Middle School. The school administration ordered an evacuation at the Middle School and the roads around the schools were blocked off. A request was made by the Grove Police Department to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol Bomb Squad to respond to the Grove Middle School. The Middle School was secured until the Bomb Squad could arrive, coming from Tulsa. Simultaneously, Grove Public Schools and investigators with the Grove Police Department began investigating the origin of the threat. Within a short time a person of interest (name withheld due to being a juvenile) and after a brief foot pursuit, the person of interest was arrested. OHP’s Bomb Squad arrived on the scene at the Middle School and conducted a search of the school with bomb sniffing K-9’s. It was determined there was no device inside the school. The school was deemed clear and school was resumed. We would like to thank the Grove Police Department and their partner agencies who responded, Delaware County Sheriff’s Office, Jay Police Department, Agents from the Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms (ATF), Oklahoma Highway Patrol Bomb Squad, Grove Fire Department, and Grove Emergency Management. A special thank you goes out the the Grove Methodist Church for housing our middle school students, Alt Ed students and staff during the investigation. When we are presented with potential emergency situations, some may be inconvenienced during lengthy investigations and safety protocols. For that we apologize. With that being said, I assure you that the safety of our students and staff remains our foremost priority, and we remain steadfast in our commitment to protect and serve them all. Respectfully, Grove Public Schools Administration
