We hope everyone in Ridgerunner Nation is safe after this morning's storms. All students at GPS sites took immediate tornado precautions for the duration of time that the sirens were sounding and all students and staff at GPS sites are safe. While no GPS sites received significant damage, the high school is currently without power. The City of Grove PD and Emergency Response are currently encouraging students to stay put at GHS due to significant debris and powerlines down across the area. If your high school student is not currently present at GHS, please keep them home. Absences will not count against them today. Stay tuned for further updates for GHS students.

Our 4th grade classes made the most of last week’s beautiful weather! Students took their science lessons outdoors, exploring, experimenting, and learning in the sunshine. There’s nothing better than combining sunshine with hands-on learning!

If you’ve ever walked through the doors at the Upper Elementary, you know Teresa Rockers and Sunni Porter. These two are the ones who keep everyone organized, answer every question (even the weird ones), and somehow manage to stay calm and smiling through it all. Today is Administrative Professionals Day, and we have to give a huge shoutout to "Rockers and Sunni"—the rockstars who truly run the Upper.
