Congratulation to GLE's Shining Star nominee, Mrs. Tanya Tackett! Thank you Mrs. York and Mrs. Perryman for doing the honors as GEFFE Ambassadors.

The ECC would like to say thank you so much to our incredible counselor, Dell Baker. Sometimes our students have big emotions. Ms. Baker does a wonderful job providing a safe space for them to regulate and bounce back. We couldn't do without her! We would also want to recognize Mrs. Sandra Thomas. She is our building BHC (behavior health coach). Thank you Mrs. Sandra for supporting our students and always being available!

Huge shout out to our One Million Words Read Club at Grove Upper Elementary! We are so proud of Catherine Pewitt, Eli Pick, David Brown, Peyton Ferguson, and Elizabeth Pewitt. Thank you APEX Title for sponsoring their gift cards!

Have you heard the amazing news? Three students from the Lower have read over ONE MILLION words this year, and the year isn't even over!

Let's READ! The Lower's top readers for January were cheered on today at the Ridgy Assembly. We read at GLE!

Congratulations to GHS's Shining Star Nominee!!! Well done, Mrs. Tharp!!! Thank you to Kristi Wallace and Brenda Sheffield for doing the honors as GEFFE Ambassadors!!

Handwriting matters! Lower students recently had a contest to see who had the very best handwriting in each grade level. Out of 500 kids, these three have the "write" stuff!

Fairness was the word today! Students at the Lower were recognized for exemplifying fairness each and every day. So proud of our Ridgys!

GHS sends a "Happy Counselor Week" to our amazing counselors: Mrs. Clark and Mrs. Lyons!!

❤️ Happy School Counselor Week! ❤️
We are so grateful for Mrs. Goldner, Grove Middle School’s counselor, site testing coordinator, G/T coordinator, and Grove Public School's district testing coordinator. Mrs. Goldner truly goes above and beyond for our students and staff every single day.
From delivering meaningful guidance lessons and supporting student scheduling to playing a key role in our MTSS process, she is essential to fostering a positive, supportive school culture. Outside all of that, she consistently goes above and beyond, always with kindness, patience, and a genuine heart for kids

Dear Grove school family,
Recently, we, the Grove Board of Education, accepted the resignation of Superintendent Pat Dodson, who will step down from his position this summer. To prepare for the transition in leadership, we approved a partnership with the Oklahoma State School Boards Association to assist with the superintendent search. The board will seek a superintendent who will continue Grove’s mission of giving students the opportunity to develop to their fullest potential.
As we take this next step for our district, it is vital for us to hear from our district family and community. With your input, we hope to find a superintendent who will be a champion and role model for Grove students and our community.
Parents, students, staff and community members are invited to participate in a brief, online survey beginning Thursday, Feb. 5. Located on the district’s website – ridgerunners.net – the survey will be available until Feb. 19. We look forward to hearing from you!
OSSBA works with other school board associations nationwide to ensure a competitive candidate pool. The non-profit organization has partnered with several Oklahoma school districts of all sizes to perform superintendent searches, including Miami, Broken Arrow and Catoosa. OSSBA assists districts with advertising openings, recruiting potential candidates, furnishing an online application management system, and providing guidance and support throughout the search process.
Please know that throughout every step of the search process, we will be thinking about what is best for our students, our staff and our community. We hope you will take time to participate in the survey, and as always, thank you for your support of the Grove Ridgerunners!
Sincerely,
Members of the Grove Board of Education

In recognition of School Counselor's Week, the Lower would like to thank Mr. Marshall for all he does for our students and school.

GHS Parents: If you were unable to attend the local scholarship event, here is the presentation. If students or parents have any questions, please reach out to the counselors' office.

GHS Parents of Juniors: The day for the State of Administration of the ACT Test at Grove High School will be Wednesday, April 8th. Students must take THIS test to graduate. National Tests cannot take the place of the State Administered ACT. Students need to take this test to graduate.
If you have a Senior who has not taken the State Administered ACT they will need to make sure they take the State Administered one on April 8th. Please have them talk to their counselor if they think they still need to take the State Administration of the ACT.
Parents of Juniors should also mark those next two Wednesdays on their calendars: 4.15 and 4.22. Those days will be the administrations of the History and Science Exams for Juniors. It is important that all Juniors are present on these days to complete these two graduation requirements.

Another Remarkable Ridgy! Mr. Marshall nominated Miss Bekkie. She is such a great ambassador for the Lower always welcoming kids with a smile in the morning. Ms. Bekkie is an amazing member of the Lower family.

Due to road conditions on side roads from the melting snow and ice Grove Public Schools will be running snow routes on Monday February 2nd. Snow route locations and pick up and drop off times are posted.

Ms. Cary's first grade class read to our furry friends at Second Chance Pet Rescue. If a pet catches your eye, it would love a good home.
