On Tuesday, February 27, GMS STUCO students attended a legislative session and House Education Committee meeting, had lunch with House Representative Josh West, and took a Capitol art tour. This trip was funded by a grant through the Oklahoma Arts Council, written by Mr. Gilmore. Mrs. Woods, our amazing STUCO sponsor, and Mr. Gilmore gladly took these students to enjoy this wonderful educational opportunity.

Ms. Harrison taught a professional development session when we returned from winter break. The session was over a 3-part writing conference protocol. Mrs. Martin used one of the activities from the PD session today in her English II class to have the students write a poem in under 10 minutes. Then the students used the 3-part writing conference protocol to review each other's poems and provide critical feedback for revisions. Students enjoyed the challenge!
